Vintage Bathroom Pictures Adding Life To Your Old Bathrooms

However, many would say that using photos in the bathroom means exposing your old photos to moisture and damp that could ruin it. Others are saying that going vintage in your bathroom renovation design can be expensive because vintage items are not that cheap. In truth, these observations have a sound basis, but some ingenious bathroom renovators have found a way to incorporate vintage into your bathroom makeover in fun and affordable ways.
You can actually make use of vintage bathroom pictures in your shower curtain, which is an important tool in decorating your bathroom. First you need to have a clear copy of a vintage photo that you will photocopy to a poster size using black and white copy paper. Then cut the poster into small square shapes approximately about 8x10 inches or smaller. Scan each square into your computer and print it on a photo transfer paper. Using an iron, you can paste them into your fabric shower curtain leaving about ¼ inch gap between the squares, something similar to grouting in tiles. You could also laminate the 8x10 photos which you could punch a hole in each of its four corners where you can install the grommets. Tie the laminated square soft paper into a bigger shower curtain sheet. Using a plastic liner behind the photo, you can now have your vintage photo adorning your bathroom. The plastic liner is very important to portect your photo from the damage brought by water and moisture.
You can also make a mural out of your vintage bathroom pictures. Again, scan your photo into your computer. You can use a photo editing program where you can work with the photos transforming them into outlines. You can use this outline to draw the photo on your wall. You can easily paint in the colors like a child’s activity game, painting by number. It does not necessarily require a skillful hand as long as you are resourceful enough to employ a few tricks. Another tip is to cover an old designed bathroom counter with a decoupage of your photocopied vintage photos on the laminate counter. You can play with the design making a layered pattern of your choice. Just do not forget to apply a few coating of the decoupage medium on your pictures for best results.
